Popularly known as the ‘Dancing Sifakas’ for their remarkable hopping agility, few visitors realize that the dancing spectacle is in part due to the loss of these animals’ habitat: they naturally dwell in dry and spiny forests and only descend to the ground when they must cross a cleared area.
